About

A focused tool for turning messy feedback into clean tickets

Bugpot exists because the loop between “something looks wrong” and “here is a reproducible ticket” is the loop most teams lose the most time to — and it is the loop that gets shortest attention from tools.

Mission

Make the reporter’s job trivial and the developer’s job unambiguous

Most bug reports fail at the seam between two roles. The reporter is not being lazy; they are describing what they saw with the vocabulary they have. The developer is not being obtuse; they need a URL, a browser, a viewport and a console log to fix the thing. Bugpot sits at that seam and collects the developer’s answers automatically, so the reporter is only on the hook for what they expected.

We are not trying to replace your issue tracker or your PM board. Your team already chose one and it works. Bugpot is the intake — the thing that lands ready-to-work reports into whatever queue you already run. Everything about the product is shaped around that job.

Principles

How we decide what to build

Every feature we ship gets checked against these. When something conflicts with them, it does not ship.

Small on the outside

The widget is under 150 KB and does not run on the reporter’s main thread until they open it. It should be invisible until it is needed.

Honest by default

We do not fabricate benchmarks, logos or certifications. When we do not have something, the page says so. When we do, the page shows it.

Boring integrations

Every integration behaves the same way. Switching tools later should not break your triage process, so the integrations are deliberately dull.

Self-hostable

The whole stack runs on your own infrastructure if you need it to. If your compliance policy says data stays in-region, this is not a special edition.

Reporter-first

Every friction we can move from the reporter to the tool, we move. The reporter clicks the button; the tool does the paperwork.

Developer-first at the other end

The report a developer opens should let them start work, not start a conversation. If it forces a follow-up question, we designed it wrong.

What we are, and what we are not

Small team, focused scope

Bugpot is a small, focused product. We have not bolted on a wiki, a marketing-analytics suite or an AI copilot for every surface. We build one loop very well — reporter → report → ticket → resolution — and integrate cleanly with the tools you already picked for everything else.

You will not find fabricated team bios, invented headcounts or a founder’s manifesto on this page. If you need to talk to a human about how the product works, our contact page will get you one.
